For the last few days we’ve been in high gear, sailing all
day and just making brief stops for the night at South Manitou and Beaver
Islands. Why were we hurrying?
I'm not quite sure...I think it's because we want to say that if all else fails, we at least made it out of Lake Michigan! Anywho, we anchored at both and were actually able to get a feel for the anchor digging in. When you rev the engine in reverse to 1500 rpm and the boat doesn’t move; that’s a good sign! We actually slept like wee tots through the night both times… On our way from South Manitou to Beaver Island, we jumped back on the proverbial horse and flew the spinnaker.

Wondrous journey to all,
Pam
